BPO hiring software

Fill the floor. Keep it full.

Truffle screens every applicant on a ramp — resumes, one-way interviews, and assessments — and hands your recruiters a ranked shortlist with the evidence attached. Built for providers staffing tens to hundreds of seats, not a twelve-month enterprise rollout.

The ramp problem

A signed client starts a clock your recruiters cannot beat by hand

Three things break at the same time, and they break in a specific order.

01

The applicant flood arrives first

Entry-level support and sales roles pull hundreds of applicants per posting, most of them unqualified and indistinguishable on paper. Sorting those applicants is the first week of the ramp, and it is done by the people you needed doing interviews.

02

The phone screen is the ceiling

A recruiter can run maybe twelve first-round calls a day. Two hundred candidates is a fortnight of calendar before anyone qualified reaches a hiring manager. Add a time-zone gap and the scheduling itself becomes the bottleneck.

03

The washout lands in month three

Seats filled fast on gut feel empty out during nesting and early production. Every one of those is the sourcing, screening, and training cost paid twice, against a margin that was thin when you quoted it.

The whole argument, in one scroll

Two ways to screen the same 200 applicants

Scroll. Both lanes hold the same applicants and the same criteria. The only difference is whether the first round waits for a recruiter to be free.

One at a time Phone screens · 12 a day
Day 1 0 of 200 screened
All at once One-way interviews · in parallel
Day 1 0 of 200 screened

Twelve first-round calls a day is a working assumption about a recruiter's day, not a measured benchmark — substitute your own number and the shape does not change. 200 applicants is this page's own worked example. A credit is charged only when a screening returns a result, so the applicants who never start cost nothing in either lane.

How it runs

Three steps between a signed client and a staffed floor

Set the role up once. Every applicant after that goes through the same screen, scored the same way.

Set up

Define the seat once, in about ten minutes

Paste the job description. Truffle drafts the screening criteria and the interview questions from it; you edit what matters for this client and add your branding. Duplicate it for the next wave of the same ramp in under two minutes.

Collect

One link takes every applicant, from every source

Share one Position Link to your careers page, Indeed, referral posts, and walk-in QR codes. Qualification Questions gate for shift availability, right to work, equipment, and connectivity before anyone spends a minute on an interview.

Decide

Recruiters open a ranked list, not a folder

AI Match scores every applicant against the criteria you set and shows the evidence for each one. Candidate Shorts cut each interview to the thirty seconds that matter. Your recruiter makes every advance and reject call; the AI never auto-rejects anyone.

Truffle sits beside the stack you already run

It is the screening layer. Your ATS stays the system of record, and WFM, payroll, and background checks stay exactly where they are.

Indeed

Applicants and resumes import automatically, and candidates get invited into a one-way interview without a recruiter touching the queue.

Ashby

Send a screening from the Ashby candidate profile; the match score and summary land back on the candidate in Ashby.

Bullhorn

Connect natively to push candidates into a screen at the workflow step you choose and file the result back on the record.

Pinpoint

Screen resumes and send interviews from inside Pinpoint, automatically on a stage move, with every score written back.

Slack

The moment a candidate finishes screening, the result posts to the channel your ramp lives in. Advance, hold, or reject without leaving it.

Client-facing output

Send the client a candidate, not a spreadsheet row

Account managers and client hiring managers get one link or one PDF per candidate, built for what they are allowed to see. No Truffle account on their end.

Pick the audience, not the toggles

Hiring team, External share, or Interview record. The client sees the candidate's story without your internal scoring rubric. Your own team keeps the scores and the follow-up questions.

A PDF that survives a client's inbox

Career profile, full transcripts, and a QR code on each answer that opens the video. Export one candidate, or a whole shortlist as a zip on annual plans.

Private by default

Contact details stay hidden until you switch them on. Links can carry a password, expire after 75 days, and revoke in one click when a req closes.

An answer for the audit

Every advance and reject decision keeps the score, the criteria, and the evidence behind it. When a client asks why a candidate did not progress, the record answers.

Where Truffle fits

What Truffle adds, and what it works alongside

A BPO stack is already crowded. Here is where Truffle fits in it.

Two hundred applicants and twelve phone screens a day

One-way video runs the first round in parallel instead of in series. Candidates record on their phone with no app and no login; AI Match scores each answer against the criteria you set, and Candidate Shorts cut each interview to thirty seconds. The interviews happen whether or not a recruiter is awake.

Screening decisions that cannot be explained three months later

Every score shows the criteria it was measured against and the evidence that earned it, and the AI never auto-rejects anyone. When a client audit or an internal review asks why a candidate was not advanced, the reasoning is on the record rather than in someone's memory.

A platform that wants to replace your ATS, WFM, and payroll

Truffle runs alongside them. It is the layer between the raw applicant and the offer, and your ATS, WFM system, payroll, and VMS keep doing their jobs. Background checks, E-Verify, and identity verification stay with the providers you already use and connect through Zapier or the API.

A twelve-month rollout before the next ramp starts

Self-serve from $49/month, with a role live in about 10 minutes: paste the job description, accept or edit the suggested criteria, add branding, share the link. No procurement, no implementation project. Seven-day free trial, 30 credits, no credit card.

FAQ

FAQs about BPO hiring software

What is BPO hiring software?

BPO hiring software is the tooling an outsourcing provider uses to turn a flood of applicants into agents on the floor by the client's go-live date. In practice that means three jobs: sorting high applicant volume, replacing the first-round phone screen, and predicting who will still be there after ninety days. Truffle does the screening layer — resume screening, one-way video interviews, and assessments — and leaves your ATS, WFM, and payroll systems alone.

How many applicants can Truffle screen for a ramp?

There is no cap on positions or applicants, only on how many screenings your monthly credit pool covers. A screened resume costs 1 credit, an assessed candidate 2, and a completed one-way interview 5, all from one shared pool. Scale is 4,000 credits at $599 a month, and extra credits are $0.25 each on Core and up. A ramp that needs more than that is what the Custom plan is for.

How does Truffle work with our ATS and workforce management system?

Truffle runs alongside them as the screening layer. Your ATS stays the system of record, your WFM system still does forecasting and scheduling, and payroll, background checks, and E-Verify stay where they are. Truffle connects natively to Indeed, Ashby, Bullhorn and six other ATSs, to most other systems through Zapier or the API, and writes the score and summary back onto the candidate.

Can candidates complete screening from a phone, in their own time zone?

Yes, and for offshore and nearshore hiring that is the point. One-way interviews are asynchronous: the candidate records on their phone with no app, no login, and no scheduled slot, so a recruiter in Austin never has to book a call with a candidate in Manila. Automatic reminders go out after 1, 3 and 7 days. A typical interview runs 10 to 15 minutes for the candidate.

How is this different from HireVue or Harver?

Mostly procurement. HireVue and Harver are enterprise platforms sold through a sales cycle with implementation attached, and neither publishes a price. Truffle is self-serve from $49 a month, a role goes live in about 10 minutes, and resume screening, one-way interviews, and assessments are all included on every plan rather than priced as modules. For a provider running a few hundred seats, that is the difference between screening this quarter and screening after the rollout.

Does the AI reject candidates automatically?

No. Truffle scores and ranks; your recruiters decide. Every AI Match score shows the criteria it was scored against and the evidence behind it, and the AI never auto-rejects anyone. The only automatic rejection is a qualification rule you write and switch on yourself, and it records which requirements were not met. That matters more in BPO than most verticals, because a client audit will eventually ask why a candidate was not advanced and the answer has to be on the record.

What does it cost per applicant?

Between 12 and 25 cents for a screened resume, 25 to 50 cents for an assessed candidate, and 62 cents to $1.25 for a completed one-way interview, depending on plan. The cheaper end is annual billing on the larger plans. A credit is only charged when a screening produces a result, so applicants who never start cost nothing.

Which BPO teams is Truffle built for?

Truffle is built for small and mid-size providers, and for individual recruiting teams and ramps inside larger ones. If you are screening for tens or a few hundred seats, the self-serve plans fit, with published pricing from $49 a month. For higher volumes, the Custom plan is scoped on a short call.

Screen the next ramp before it starts

Resume screening, one-way interviews, and assessments on one platform, with the evidence attached to every score. Set a role up in about ten minutes and let the first wave screen itself overnight.

Reasoning

Match detected 🎯

We built an entire hiring metaphor to avoid saying “wait, don’t go.” Which is ironic because Truffle helps you get to the point with your candidate pool.
