Create an API key in Ashby
Go to Admin → Integrations → API Keys and click + New. Name the key, select Truffle as the Integration Partner, and continue. Ashby pre-fills the scopes Truffle needs. Copy the key on the last step, because Ashby shows it only once.

Paste the Ashby key into Truffle
In Truffle, open Integrations → Ashby and click Connect. Paste the Ashby key and connect. Truffle generates a key of its own and reveals it once, so copy it before you close the window.

Paste the Truffle key back into Ashby
Back in Ashby, go to Admin → Integrations → Integrations, search for Truffle, paste the key into the Truffle API Key field, and save. The connection is live and the Ashby card in Truffle shows Connected.

Open the job's Interview Plan in Ashby, add Truffle as an activity on the stage that should screen, and choose the Truffle position under Assessment Type. Do this once per job that should use Truffle.

Common questions about Ashby + Truffle
Do resume screening results appear in Ashby?
Not as a score inside the Ashby assessment block. Resume screening produces a criteria-by-criteria breakdown rather than a single number, so it runs on the Truffle side and Ashby receives the completed status plus a View in Truffle link through to the full breakdown. One-way video interview match scores and rolled-up assessment scores do post onto the profile.
What do I need to set this up?
Ashby admin access and a paid Truffle plan. On a Truffle trial the Ashby card shows as locked with an Available on paid plans label. The Ashby API access this integration relies on sits on Ashby's paid plans, so check with Ashby for current availability there.
What happens if I cancel a Truffle screening in Ashby?
Cancelling the screening in Ashby disqualifies that candidate's Truffle application, so the two systems stay in step and you don't accumulate screenings nobody is waiting on.
What if results stop reaching Ashby?
The Ashby card in Truffle shows a status of Connected, Degraded, or Action needed, along with when results last flowed. Reconnect re-opens the connect flow and generates a brand-new Truffle key, which you then paste into Ashby. The old key stops working the moment you reconnect.
