Indeed emails each application to your position's Truffle import address. Truffle reads the applicant's name, contact address and attached resume out of the message and adds them to that position. Nobody has to be online for it to happen.
Indeed does not hand over an applicant's personal email. It gives you a per-candidate relay address instead. Truffle treats that relay as the applicant's address, so Indeed applications import rather than failing with no contact.
A message Truffle cannot read appears as a row in the position's import activity with the reason and what to do about it, instead of disappearing. If imports start failing, you get an email.
Indeed's strength is volume. Truffle's match scores let you ignore the bottom of the pile and focus on the candidates who actually fit.
If you would rather skip the email route, point Indeed's Apply button at your Truffle application link so candidates start screening as part of applying.
Open the position, go to Get candidates, and turn on Auto-import applicants. Copy the import address it shows you. Every position has its own.
In Indeed, open the job, choose Edit job post, then Application method. Under 'Application updates and access to candidates on Indeed', click + Add email and paste your Truffle import address.
On the same screen, tick 'Send an individual email each time someone applies'. This is the step that matters. Without it Indeed sends summaries instead of individual applications, and nothing imports. Save the job, then select Confirm.
Indeed only attaches a resume when the applicant provided one. In the job's application settings, choose the option that requires a resume, and in the application update email settings, turn on the option to attach it.
