What one credit buys, how the monthly pool works on each plan, and what happens when you change plans, cancel, or a payment fails.

Truffle plans are credit-based. Each plan gives you one pool of credits a month, and you spend it across all three screening methods: resume screening, assessments and one-way interviews. Plans differ by the size of the pool. Every feature is on every plan.

## What a credit buys

Each screening method costs a fixed number of credits from the same pool.

| Screening | Credits |
|---|---:|
| A resume screened by AI Match | 1 |
| An assessed candidate, all three assessments included | 2 |
| A completed one-way interview | 5 |

A credit is charged only when a screening gives you a result to act on. That means a resume scored by AI Match, a completed assessment, or a submitted one-way interview. If a candidate never starts or does not finish, it costs nothing. Re-opening a result you already paid for never charges twice.

You do not buy credits per method. One pool a month covers resume screening, assessments and one-way interviews.

## Plans

| Plan | Monthly | Annual, per month | Credits per month | Roll-over |
|---|---:|---:|---:|---:|
| Starter | $49 | Not offered | 200 | No |
| Core | $119 | $99 | 600 | Up to 3x pool |
| Team | $239 | $199 | 1,500 | Up to 3x pool |
| Scale | $599 | $499 | 4,000 | Up to 3x pool |

Custom has no published price or pool. It is set up on a call, and every other plan is self-serve.

## Going over your pool

On Core, Team and Scale, screening keeps running when the monthly pool is used up, and each extra credit is billed at a flat $0.25. Starter is a hard cap with no overage, so a busy month never turns into a surprise bill. To screen more on Starter, move to a bigger plan.

## Annual billing

Annual billing is 2 months free. It is available on Core, Team and Scale. Starter is billed monthly only. The annual figure in the table is the effective monthly rate, billed once a year. On annual billing, your whole year of credits is available up front, to use whenever you hire.

## Roll-over

On Core, Team and Scale, unused monthly credits roll over. They stay available for 12 months while you stay subscribed, up to a cap of 3x the plan's monthly pool.

Starter does not roll over. It is a flat monthly pool.

Rolled-over credits are forfeited if you downgrade or cancel.

## What every plan includes

Every feature is on every plan. There are no per-seat fees. Every plan includes:

- Unlimited positions
- Unlimited team members
- Resume screening, one-way interviews and assessments
- AI Match scores and summaries
- Full interview transcripts and Candidate Shorts
- Custom branding on every Position Link
- Live chat support

## Changing plans

If you have an active subscription, you can upgrade or downgrade from the billing page in Truffle, without contacting support. Older plans continue for the customers on them and show next to the current plans. For the steps, see [Change or cancel your plan](https://www.hiretruffle.com/how-it-works/guides/change-or-cancel-your-plan).

## Your billing page

`Billing & plan` (in the menu under your name, or in Settings under Workspace) shows your plan, this period's usage and your past invoices.

- The plan card shows the next payment date and amount, and the card on file. Its Update link opens the payment-method step. You see a warning when the card expires before the next payment.
- On credit plans, the Current Usage card names the dates of the billing period and splits the credits used into resume screens, assessments and one-way interviews.
- If your usage goes over the plan's pool, the usage card offers the next self-serve plan when its pool would cover your usage, or a conversation about a bigger plan.
- The Billing history card lists one row per billing period, newest first. Each row shows the plan, the credits used against the pool, and that period's invoice with its amount and a `Paid`, `Open` or `Past due` status. You can view an invoice, download it as a PDF, or use `Pay now` on an unpaid one. The three latest periods show by default.

Billing history is visible to owners and admins only.

## Free trial

The free trial is 7 days and 30 credits, with no credit card. Trial credits are spent at the same rates as on a paid plan, and they expire when the trial ends. You confirm the free trial as the last step of sign-up.

## Cancelling

You cancel from the billing page in a short flow. Cancelling stops auto-renewal. You keep full access until the end of the current billing period.

The flow first asks for your main reason. Depending on the reason, it may make one offer. `It costs too much` offers the next plan down, shown next to your current plan. `It didn't help me hire` or `We're switching to another tool` offers a 15-minute call with a founder, or a message instead. An account gets at most one offer every 30 days.

After the period ends, you need to reactivate to see your positions and candidates. Candidates can still apply and finish interviews for 14 days after that. Then open positions close. Cancelling also drops any plan change you had scheduled.

Once a cancellation is scheduled, the billing page shows the end date and an `Undo cancellation` button. It reverses the cancellation in one click, any time before that date. The person who cancelled and the account owner get an email when the cancellation is scheduled, with an undo link, the day before access ends, and when the subscription has ended.

On a Custom plan, the plan card shows `Talk to us about your plan` instead of `Cancel subscription`.

## When a payment fails

A failed payment does not lock you out straight away. It opens a grace period with a warning banner and a message in the app. If the payment is not resolved, the workspace moves to a hold state. An "account on hold" message appears, and its main button takes you to the billing page to fix the payment.

## What it does not do

- Starter credits do not roll over, Starter has no annual billing, and Starter has no overage: its pool is a hard cap.
- Rolled-over credits do not survive a downgrade or a cancellation, and they last 12 months only while you stay subscribed.
- Roll-over is capped at 3x the monthly pool.
- Custom plans have no self-serve cancel.
- Legacy and Custom plans see invoices on the billing page without the credits column.
- Billing history is not visible to members or viewers.
- A Custom plan invoiced outside Truffle shows no billing history, card or credit usage.

Truffle is an AI screening platform for small teams doing high-volume hiring: resume screening, one-way video interviews and talent assessments. AI surfaces the evidence and you make every decision. Scores never reject a candidate; the only automatic rejection is a qualification rule the employer writes. https://www.hiretruffle.com
